- I was raised on a vegetable farm near Green Bay, Wisconsin. I learned the value of working long hours while driving the tractor all day long on our farm!
- My husband Paul is a retired Air Force colonel. His careen enabled us to live in Colorado, Tehran, Iran and Germany as well as the Washington DC. area.
- I know how to go the extra mile as I finished the Marine Corps Marathon in 1991
- I received the Weichert Community Service award in 2005 for my involvement with the wounded soldiers and their families at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
